THE WHITE COMPLEXION IN CHINESE MEDICINE
In Chinese medicine (TCM), a white complexion suggests a lack of blood, a poor diet, or a blockage of energy. A rather white face will therefore mean exhaustion of Qi and Blood, and/or excess Cold in the body.
The face is one of the external manifestations of Shen. In TCM, Shen is the reflection of the vital activity of our body and our mental state.
The white complexion, so prized by Asian women, is therefore often not synonymous with good health. On the contrary, a pale complexion is a sign of health and therefore prosperity.
To cultivate a glowing complexion, we offer herbal remedies, acupuncture and dietary advice.
