CHINESE MEDICINE TO HELP YOUR SKIN

CHINESE MEDICINE TO HELP YOUR SKIN

CHINESE MEDICINE TO HELP YOUR SKIN

Eczema, like all diseases that affect the skin, is generally linked to a sensitive emotional terrain. Indeed, the skin is what connects us to the outside world, and to others.

According to Chinese medicine, the skin is the place where defensive Qi circulates; it is the first to be affected by pathogenic agents (wind, heat, humidity, etc.). It is related to the Lung.

A diagnosis will allow us to identify precisely the causes of eczema (Shi zhen): Humidity-Heat, or Wind-Dryness, among the main ones.

We treat eczema effectively with a combination of acupuncture and Chinese pharmacopoeia. The treatment is tailored to each patient, and will treat the person holistically to restore the overall balance.

TREAT INSOMNIA BY REBALANCING ENERGIES

Between 10 and 30% of adults worldwide suffer from chronic insomnia. Sleep is essential for our physical and mental health; restful sleep provides a good energy recharge and boosts our immunity.

Insomnia can be caused by a number of factors, including stress, intense exercise or heavy meals before bed. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the body’s Yang energy must decrease at the end of the day to allow the Yin energy to take over, which leads to peace of mind and body.

A Yin/Yang energy imbalance can therefore lead to sleep disorders. TCM advises maintaining a healthy lifestyle; acupuncture and Chinese pharmacopoeia also provide effective help.

Mango, Mang Guo (芒果), is sweet and sour in flavour and fresh in nature according to Traditional chinese medicine (TCM). The sour flavor “contains sweat, stops diarrhea and regenerates body fluids especially those of the stomach”.

Mango has a privileged effect on the Spleen and Stomach meridians. It has the following actions: it tones the stomach, stops vomiting, dispels thirst, promotes urination and refreshes the body. For women, regular consumption helps to alleviate problems of amenorrhea or oligomenorrhea.

The orange colour comes from the beta-carotenes present in large quantities which have antioxidant properties. It is also very rich in vitamin C.

CHINESE MEDICINE TO HELP LOWER BACK PAIN

CHINESE MEDICINE TO HELP LOWER BACK PAIN

CHINESE MEDICINE TO HELP LOWER BACK PAIN

Low back pain (Yāo tòng) affects between 50 and 70% of the population. The origin is variable. It lasts from a few days in the acute phase to several years. Sometimes, these low back pains are accompanied by sciatica, or even cruralgia.

These low back pains can have very diverse origins: excessive or inappropriate physical activity, repeated bad posture, lifting of heavy loads, trauma, overwork, emotional imbalance, etc.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) links these pathologies to the Kidneys and the Bladder. Therefore, any deficiency in the energy of these organs will favor the appearance of low back pain.

We effectively treat these back pains with TCM thanks to acupuncture and pharmacopoeia, often combined. Tuina massage and cupping can also be used.

WINTER THE RESTORATION SEASON

WINTER THE RESTORATION SEASON

WINTER THE RESTORATION SEASON

In Chinese medicine, the winter season corresponds to the element of water. It is the most “Yin” season of the year.

It is the season of rest and introspection. We protect ourselves from the cold, we decrease the rhythm of our activities and with wisdom we integrate the lessons of the past year.

It is the time to envision with clarity what we want for the next cycle. We plant the seeds (projects, intentions) that will germinate the following year.
Since water is associated with the Kidney and Bladder meridians, we will strengthen these meridians with the help of an adapted pharmacopoeia.

We will use acupuncture to treat pathologies related to these imbalances.
We will make sure to practice a qi gong that revitalizes the kidneys.
